Art Bead Scene August Challenge

The August Art Bead Scene Challenge  Is this Inspiration Photo "12 Princesses On the way to the Dance". Art by Kay Nieslen published in 1923.

I went with color, this palette by far has been one of my hardest challenges. I don't often design in these colors unless I am meeting a challenge. My Artbead focal is made of Polymer Clay by Staci Louise Originals.  Such a Large Focal demanded a statement neck chain. I used a Black glass hollow Tube bead. Also featured is a Rare 40X30mm Grey Crysoberyl Cats eye semi precious stone. Topaz orange Agate gemstone, Czech glass flower dangles, crystals, a wire wrapped bail, this necklace has it all. Love the lines from this Polymer focal to the background of Inspirational Photo

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you soon.

September Art Jewelry Elements Challenge-Trees

The Challenge this month was issued by AJE team member Caroline of  BlueberriBeads.  She chose Trees as the Theme. So many thought it would be a fun challenge and joined in. I was interested with a couple of animals associated with trees.  Like owls, there so cute.
This is a Beech tree cavity with an Owl.

This huge tree is a Burserra simaruba tree, gumbo-limbo, copperwood or turpentine tree.  It is native to tropical regions southeastern United states, Mexico, Carribean , brazil and Venezuela. I just find them so lush and gorgeous.

Then I thought about one of the little creatures we try to protect the trees from. Rabbits like to chew the bark around the base of the trees. I of course want them both to be harmonious together and so I have created this Necklace, where they always will be. I chose this Ceramic Rabbit connecter created by Jenny Davies-Reazor  that I purchased at Beadfest. I added Czech glass leaves and flowers, glass pearls and some crystal dangles.

My chain for the Necklace likewise consisted of the same elements but also with the addition of an Owl.

Thank you for stopping by and please hop around to all the participants in the challenge to see what has been created.

Earrings every day Posted this lovely Photo of a Pink floral Teapot as May's Challenge
  We're All Ears Challenge
In my stash I have teeny tiny tea cup charms with this pattern, so I twisted some wire, dangled the cup, the spoon and a pink czech glass for these lightweight funky earrings to wear.

We're All Ears July Challenge

Welcome to We're All Ears July Challenge Blog Hop. Sponsored by the Earrings Everyday blog.   This Month we were given  Primitive Folk Art quilts like this one made by women in India as our inspiration.
From my stash I chose a pair of Copper sticks enameled in Red, Blue, with Marigold accents. These sticks were hand made by Cathleen Zaring .  I attached these sticks with Vintage Brass non tarnished copper wire to Czech glass flowers in Curry and Bordeaux coloring.  (Hope I spelled that right) very colorful with an explosion of colors like the Quilt.
