Build A Line Challenge From B'sue Boutiques Part One Gloria Allen of Gloria Allen Designs

Hello, This is part one of my Build a Line Blog Hop Series.  This is a Master class that will span 3 months, three hops. We will all be working hard to build a cohesive line. Look at this Give-away-prize I won. (happy dance)
Give-away-Prize I won
Sometimes in our dailey lives we hear our friends, people talking about things they used to do, but had to stop or things they wished they could of done, maybe they couldn't figure out what they wanted to do in life, and then life got in the way. Growing up I was always artistic and creative.(inherited from my father who could draw anything, people, places and things)  I wrote short stories, and poetry.  I painted with oils, sketched with charcoal, I crocheted, I knitted, I sewed my own clothes.  I took every kind of cooking class offered through out school.  International cooking, Bachlor cooking, etc.  I did some catering to earn income after having my first child. I didn't know then that I had a passion to create.
I did however know that I loved, loved, and still Luv Jewelry.
Pink Jade and Brass Set

Blue Jade wire wrapped bracelet

As a teenager I scoured Woolworth's (lol) for jewels to match my clothes. Remember S Klein and Alexanders (ROFLMBO aging myself).  Yeh, memories.  My best memories were playing in my grandmothers Jewelry.  Her Jewels were different than mine and she always let us play dress up at her house. (I am the oldest of five girls) Little cameos and filigree was what her jewelry was made of.  I now know that they were Vintage Jewelry.  Jewelry with a Vintage inspiration to them. Its hard to feel Feminine when your 10 years old and already 5 feet 8 towering over most people. Size 14 clothing and size 10 shoe. Shopping in the ladies department instead of Juniors.  Grandma and her jewels made me feel like a princess, just took me to another world.
Red jade Filigree Bracelet

All that filigree and sparkle, dangles, cameos and lace.
Cameo and Pearls

Brass Assemblage Cameo of with Kyanite

Cameo with Jasper and Agate

I realize even today these items still have that power over me. I am 5'10 in my bare feet and most clothing lines now carry tall or long pants and skirts.  Ahhh but the jewelry takes me back to grandma's.   I want every women to feel like a princess.  I love Color and currently I am washing and colorizing some Brass, keeping Pantone Color Chart in mind
I want every women to look in her heart and discover her passion.  Once you find that Passion, spread your wings and fly. That is what (  https://www.bsueboutiques.com )  Build a line Challenge is going to help me do. Fuel my passion, find some of my style and create a cohesive line that you will recognize as me when you come across them. With you and me in mind I have created my Wings and Bead Collection.  A Feminine Heart for your passion, AWing, to fly with your dreams and sparkle dangles for the princess in all of us.

We're All Ears January Reveal

Pantone color of the year Marsala
This Months Inspiration made me think also of January Birthstone Garnets. A Rich Bordeaux.  So I gathered my supplies of  Brass, Beads, glass pearls Swarovski crystals, seed beads and glass floral bead caps.
I made my dangles and wire wrapped those Rustic beads and Vintage Brass Beads into these Light weight flirty pieces.
I was not thrilled when Pantone chose Marsala as color of the year.  The actual chart seemed a little washed out and bland.  I have seen designers using garnets and shades of Burgundy as interprettions so its growing on me.  We will see as we journey through the year.  I do however adore how these earrings came out. Like I always say "wear Vintage, It's new again"

What's It All About - Build A Line

Welcome to my first post of the year.  There is fun and excitement, hope and scaries all coming my way.  I had the pleasure of attending a weekend  Jewelry retreat last year hosted by Brenda Sue Lansdowne of B'sue Boutique.  The draw for artist was a weekend of clay classes with world renowned Clay Artist Christi Friesen. Well that was all fantastik for attendees but not why I went.  I had never talked to Christi but wanted to learn about Polymer.  More than that I wanted to meet Brenda Sue.  This woman who is generous to a fault had started a Facebook group full of Talented, witty, down to earth Artist who didn't mine sharing.  I had laughed, shared ideas, cried over their heart aches and losses, happy danced over their triumphs and goals for more than a year.  Here was my chance to meet them.  These friends in my head. So off to Ohio I flew, partied, took classes, loved them all it was so surreal.  Christi Freisen non-pretensious hope I spell that right (cybernet forever) Over the top Awesome Teacher. And Brenda Sue Lansdowne everything I expected and more.  Brenda Sue Of B'sue Boutiques is sponsering a challenge open to 60 participants to learn how to Build your own line.  It is a three month course to create your own Spring line and it is free.  Did you hear that. FREE!  You must be able to dedicate the time, use visable vintage stampings, parts, goods that she sells, have a blog and be a member of her facebook group.  In exchange you receive a lifetime of knowledge, hopefully some more skills, a Jewelry line that can make you money if you so choose and hopefuly develop your syle.

Well of course I want to create my own line that people recognize as me, but am I ready? Can I do it?  I don't know what my style is. However I do know what I love.   Brenda says your heart has to be in it, make what you love, but suspose I'm the only one that likes what my heart is passionate about. Thats the scaries I was talking about earlier. Well all applications are being accepted begining January 8th until the 12th. You can click on that build a line button to the Left of my blog if you so desire and it will take you to more information.

Please join me in my exploration over the next three months as I build a line with 59 other participnts
