We're All Ears-September Challenge

September's inspiration for many a challenge this month is the Sunflower. I love bright yellow as we tumble like leaves into the fall season.

I concentrated on the Yellow, the brown center and put together these little flirty darlings. I chose a brass filigree with a dark designer finish in rusted iron from Bsue Boutiques  which also carries brass Lever backs, added a brown cabachon and dangled these cute yellow flowers.

These earrings will be added to my shop.  show me your inspirations, dont be shy leave a comment and I will see you next week.

My Beadfest 2017

Once Again I was honored to be able to attend my annual trip to Beadfest for supplies held in Oaks, PA. I went Tailgating at 8 am Saturday morning with the famous Artist/Designers Candy Cooper whom I took a class with and learned how to use a Sizzix Metal embossing machine, Designer/Polymer Clay Artist/Writer/ Heather from Humblebeads was there at the Tailgate, along with Dakota Stones, Beadalon, and Leather cord USA, and Sarah James from Jessee James Beads. My loot bag from Candie contained various coupons from her sponsors, a beautiful black brass heart that we added Rose colored ink too, then buffed back for highlights. With the sizzix machine I embossed little hearts added some Jesse James beads and tassels to create these earrings:

Art Bead Scene August Challenge

The August Art Bead Scene Challenge  Is this Inspiration Photo "12 Princesses On the way to the Dance". Art by Kay Nieslen published in 1923.

I went with color, this palette by far has been one of my hardest challenges. I don't often design in these colors unless I am meeting a challenge. My Artbead focal is made of Polymer Clay by Staci Louise Originals.  Such a Large Focal demanded a statement neck chain. I used a Black glass hollow Tube bead. Also featured is a Rare 40X30mm Grey Crysoberyl Cats eye semi precious stone. Topaz orange Agate gemstone, Czech glass flower dangles, crystals, a wire wrapped bail, this necklace has it all. Love the lines from this Polymer focal to the background of Inspirational Photo

Full Necklace in all its glory

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you soon.

Art Bead Scene May Challenge

UThis month when I jumped over  to Art Bead Scene I was pleased to see the PINK inspiration in this Photo:

Beige, Orange, Teal, and Pink. I had the most gorgeous Gemstone in this bluish green color.

So I paired the Gemstone with an Artisan Lampwork bead from Grace Lampwork Beads. I kinda hoard my beads from her. I met her at beadfest one year and she makes all her beads individually.  In my stash I have these Orangey Pink beads with a splash of the Blue green running through it and they pair nicely together.

I then created these coordinating earrings.

Thanks for Joining me in this challenge.

April 2017 Pretty Palette Beads Challenge

Pretty Palette beads is sponsored by Halcraft and their beads can be found in Michael stores Nationwide. They are calling this the Happy Spring and the inspiration behind it is Polymer clay Artist Heather Powers of Humblebeads. Heather creates polymer beads and has been doing so for decades.  I discovered Heather from Humblebeads about a 2 years go. She does art work and is also a published writer. This Artwork by heather is April's inspiration and these are the beads chosen by Halcraft:

Here is a photo of my beads as I had some strands already in my stash.

This is the Necklace I created: A brass butterfly I used Gilders paste on to add color

I loved the golden Amber hue of the shell teardrops.  I wanted to try something new for this challenge so I wirewrapped using Purple 20g Parawire.
Hope you enjoyed this whimsical piece.

Thank you so much for your visit. Come back and see what I do for May Challenges.
