This Brass statue is the Inspiration this month. When I first saw this inspiration photo it did nothing for me. I kept going back every few days staring at it. Then I noticed the hint of turquoise. Then I saw the waves, I just gave up. Then this week I looked again and said silly Sherlock, its all about the metal, the brass. So I pulled out some brass flowers of which I am so fond of. Then we all love pearls and I had some gold ones aquired from Pine Ridge Treasures. Then I spied these gemstones with waves of goldtones and shine. So elegant and they can be purchased HERE
Since it's all about the brass for me and I had the flowers out on my workstation I decided to decorate these Black brass Top hats purchased from B'Sue Boutiques, are they not just fab!
Hope you enjoyed the workings of my mind, lol and these earrings can be purchased HERE
I love the workings of your mind!LOL hope it can rub off on me. I have been perusing through the Internet and magazines for some inspiration. I love your style of jewelry making! Those earrings are adorable! :D

ReplyDeleteWell first of all I'm going to adopt that phrase 'Silly Sherlock'!! I love how you took the brass aspect from the inspiration and made your own style of jewellery quite different to the Buddha vibe. The top hat earrings are fun and put me in mind of weddings!! xx

ReplyDeleteI wanted to let you know that your earrings are awesome, Gloria!
ReplyDeleteI really like what you came up with for the challenge... those brass flower petals are really cool and go nicely with the pearls and other beads you pulled in. Also, those top hats couldn't be cuter!
ReplyDeleteI love the brass flower earring, It perfectly captures the essence of the sculpture
ReplyDeleteI love the browns and golds in the first pair. They are perfect for the inspiration piece. Well done as always!
ReplyDeleteSuper! I love the soft warmth of the brass. And the figure is actually standing on a flower dais and has flowers in the palm of his hand. A great interpretation! Thanks for playing along with me on the Earrings Everyday challenge. I wonder what the next challenge will be? You will have to come back on March 4th to find out! Enjoy the day! Erin
ReplyDeleteNice way to use the flower as inspiration!

Love the way you see things. I am often too literal in interpreting a challenge. Your designs are inspired by the statue, but not in an overly obvious way. Great earrings.
